Drivers Dane Elec So Speaky 500gb
My Dane Elec So Speaky also shares the same problem. I can get some image if I plug the cables wrong on purpose, but even then it's either black and white (on the kitchen TV); very distorted (on the living room TV); or no image at all (on the bedroom TV). None of the three have any kind of sound.
Mar 26, 2018 - Connections include two USB 2.0 host ports, one USB 2.0 port for hooking up the So Speaky PVR as an external hard-drive, one 10/100.

As on Dane-Elec's website I pressed the remote's Video button and waited a few seconds to cycle between output options.
Fortigate vm trial license reset firefox update. On one TV I could just make out a really distorted image and on the other I got absolutely nothing. Hi there, I just bought a SoSpeaky 500GB, not knowing that there are guys out there how have tremendous problems with this HD. Here are my experiences: - SoSpeaky 500GB - 64M Firmware 3.51 - Sound, coming from the AV out --> fine - Picture, coming from the VGA --> fine, AV --> not tested yet - During the initiation seqence the HD is searching (for support files) on the HDD for a very long time, even when I stop playing a file and go back to the menu this takes a long time, I look at 'searching' then. Maybe it is because I backedup nearly 400 GB to this HD, the manualpage says that it is best practise to create 3 Folders --> Music, Pictures and Movie, this should shorten the searching seqences. I will try to reorganize this. I am running this HD on an Panasonic 50' plasma TV with VGA, and the picture quality, after setting up the right out device is really good, only some DivX files are not playable.

Hi chaps Just thought about one interesting point, dont know if solves your probs: Do not connect the SoSpeaky to a PC or Notebook and try to get the Video out to work, attaching the SoSpeaky to a PC will disable the video output.
It is because you could be able to edit files from the TV menu and from the Windows PC at one time, this could damage the file system. Its a Windows related problem, I believe that this will work with linux My setup: SoSpeaky connected to a TV --> yes and it works;-) SoSpeaky connected to a DSL router with USB port, presenting the HD via SMB share --> yes this works as well To my mind this is the only way to get the USB and TV option to work at one time.
