Does anyone here use this system for their CCTV? I realise this is a long shot, but the department having trouble with this hasn't got a support contract (so will cost £££ for support) and I'm not making much headway on my own. They are trying to import a configuration file, however: - If the software is opened without admin rights, they can see the config files but cannot import them.
- If the software is opened with admin rights, the config files cannot be seen in the import explorer window. If anyone has any ideas or experience with this system, let me know. That shouldn't really be an issue but definitely worth checking out. Run the program as the logged on user, sign in as the admin of the DVR, import files from share and then from local. If that doesn't work Run the program as and administrative account, sign as the admin of the DVR, import files from share and then from local. Default location for my file was 'C: Program Files iVMS-4200 Station iVMS-4200 iVMS-4200 Client testconfig.zip' but I suspect that doesn't matter much. ' Is that for PC or MAC? The import was done using the.zip that the export created, no issues. Where is the.zip stored?
They're running the application as a different user. Our polciy is that user's primary accounts cannot have admin rights, so those that require them have local admin credentials which they can enter when installing software etc. I can't recall why off the top of my head, but there was an issue with installing the software directly under the admin account.
The.zip was on a network share, but I got them to move it to the local drive and they still had the same issue. Rick A wrote: ' Is that for PC or MAC?
