Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 Driver Free Download
Komplete Audio 6 has been in daily use for years. Recently started 'hanging', i would have to unplug/plug to restart audio. Then 10 days ago that did not work, USB light blinking.
System is WIndows 10, large/fast Asus motherboard, 24 GB ram. Has Creators update. First thing i downloaded current installer, ran, uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, all the usual recommended stuff.
Jan 27, 2018 - USBDEVICE - Native Instruments - Komplete Audio 6 Win Drivers Download - Update your computer's drivers using DriverMax, the free driver.
New cables, different ports. In device manager, shows up as 'other device' 'unknown' as it has for others. Properties/update driver, browse to /program files/native instruments/komplete audio 6 driver, select, driver-install fails. Tried INF folder, ASIO, the enclosing driver folder, etc. I also own a TRAKTOR AUDIO 6 and a AUDIO 2 DJ. TRAKTOR AUDIO 6 works fine.
I note however that when installing the driver, i get the WIndows security popup, 'do you want to install this USB driver?' Dialog box, with NI as source. (answer yes, etc). I DO NOT get that dialog box for the KOMPLETE AUDIO 6 installer.
The INSTALLER is failing it seems. Downloaded the latest for AUDIO 2 DJ. That fails, in a similar way to the KOMPLETE, but in device manager is shows in 'UNiversal Serial Bus controllers' as 'Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)'. I have only one other Windows box, Win 10 with Creators update. It has the same problem with this hardware.
Here is screen shot before i click NEXT. Here is after.
The AUDIO 2 DJ exhibits a different driver install failure: which makes no sense, so clearly something is wedged. It is NOT REASONABLE to ask me to wipe my development machine because NI writes bad driver installer code.
Why aren't these hardware drivers not conforming Windows drivers? Why do i need this special installer crap? It must make NIs work difficult, and sure doesn't improve your reputation.
All your software is excellent -- except your drivers, which SUCK. ALSO i'm getting rather frustrated at the complete silence on my open ticket, #1248118. It's been over a week, i've done every recommended fix and then some, that i found on this site and in threads on this forum. If it is unreasonable to expect a reply at least have the courtesy to say so. First thing i downloaded current installer, ran, uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, all the usual recommended stuff.
New cables, different ports. Warm bodies full movie sub indo. In device manager, shows up as 'other device' 'unknown' as it has for others.

It has the same problem with this hardware. Click to expand. Was it working before with the Win 10 Creators Update already installed? Did any other drivers or Windows updates got installed recently which might have caused the current problems? Since you posted that you already tried every solution which comes to mind, I can only add the following suggestions: Does it make any difference in the 'Browse for drivers'-window: • When unchecking the Include subfolders checkbox? • When using the Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer option? I guess you already tried to re-install the drivers without any of the NI Audio Devices connected? Otherwise you might find some additional hints by investigating the Windows error code 28 further: h.
Click to expand.yes it was, for a week or two. It may have coincided with the start of the need to unplug/plug the hardware. But that problem in the past was usually related to 'allow exclusive control of this device' (wording to that effect) in the Windows sound device control panel. About 6, 8 weeks ago i did reinstall Win10 on a new main drive, reinstalled all NI stuff (and the Komplete Audio 6 immediately, as it's my main and default sound device). Reinstall begat the usual flurry of updates and Creators happened shortly after that.
The unplug/plug-hung-audio problem has come and gone for years. Click to expand.thanks but yeah, did all that, every combination of 'browse', folders, subs, checkbox and other permutations i could think of. I only tried 'pick from list' once, i'll go back and look at that. I always unplug (OK, at time's i've forgotten to, but not in this instance as recommended, and for grins, tried to leave it plugged in. Thanks again, but none of the Error 28 stuff applies here. I think the biggest hint is that the WIndows security/authorization warning dialog box DOES NOT pop up when installing the driver. I assume there's some thing stuck in the registry that is preventing the INSTALLER from working.
