Do you have proper gain-staging? While its convenient to just say its a bad mic it could be potentially a mix of several small factors or one big issue. I havent used this microphone personally but I have used the Yeti. Truth be told, the Yeti didnt have THAT great of a sound profile. (What the yeti has is an incredibly good marketing team).
