So first of all, the photo of the item is black and looks like it has a black zinc coating. The bar I rec'd is more like a matte stainless.

Also, it has a snap ring on the end of the sleeve which leads you to believe the shaft will spin like most barbells, it does not. The shaft is welded in place, so those snap rings are just there to hold in a thin aluminum circle, as a facade. Considering the bar is $200 less than most, I guess these are small concessions, but just know that you're not getting a top of the line bar here.

It'll do, I guess. I bought this Hex Bar for carries, shrugs, deadlifts, etc and it has not disappointed. The gnurl is very aggressive, which I personally prefer. If you are using bumper plates, keep in mind that the sleeves are not very long compared to Rogue's Hex, so this bar cannot be loaded much more than 3x 45# bumpers per side. Again, was not an issue to me. The packaging was beat to hell when it arrived, but upon inspection, it appeared to be the fashion in which FedEx handled the box. The bar was undamaged once opened though.
